History of Fernando Pensato

Working with forms and colours is the crucial part in the creative process of Fernando Pensato. Very early in his life he discovered his drawing talent. At a young age he began to draw with passion and developed this ability with artistic ambition even further. As a young man already, he came to realise his fascination for beautiful shoes.

New Forms and New Materials

During the 1970s’ Fernando Pensato became highly renowned for his creation of the platform-heel made of natural cork. In the 1980s’ Fernando Pensato was the first shoemaker to embellish his creations with embroideries and Swarowski Rhinestones. In the 1990s’ Fernando Pensato enthused the fashion world with the utterly new spherical heel. Fernando Pensato celebrated the beginning of the new millenium with a completely transparent glass heel. Another novelty introduced by Fernando Pensato ist the use of a new material called Nylon Mesh which made him pioneer of the shoe industry.
